Idea#3: Rear break lights that change contrast

I am not sure if it is just me, but when travelling on the motorways/freeways it would be nice to have some feedback from the person in front doing the breaking. So many times you think the person is breaking really hard so you componsate and then you notice that they just touched their breaks.Slowing you down and everyone else.

I was watching a TV program the other night (the name of the program I forget), but the main thing they were talking about was "phantom traffic jams". Basically these traffic jams are just because some car drivers over componsate with their breaking and then there is wave of breaking that reaches a peak and this is when you come to a complete standstill wondering what the big deal is, when actually it is someone "over compensating".

Even MIT are trying to figure this one out

So my simple idea, which might solve some of the problem is to have your breaks lights at different contrasts so the driver behind knows how hard your breaking. So if your breaking lightly to componsate then it just shows as a low contrast and if you steadily break harder then the person driving behind knows how hard to break. Some of you might say that you can judge how far are car is in front and make your decision accordingly.I think your brain has to work harder to do this than looking at a colour getting brighter and brighter ;-) No expert here, maybe MIT can help.

Someone know doubt has already thought of this in one of the big car companies and patented it. Great I am really happy the share my ideas so I can get some benefit in my life in the future, but please can you go ahead and make it happen? I don't think it is that hard to do? is it?

Please let me know if this idea could help you and maybe we could petition the car manufacturers to do something about it.

Just another free idea I was hoping to share.

Idea #2: A window screen scraper with a glove

Source for idea

During this very cold period this year I have come to realise that when I was scrapping the car free from ice and snow that my hands would always get covered with snow and ice. I would then be soaked with it all and though there must be a better way. Okay I have taken the first step to get a car with a decent heater, front and back heated windscreens, but these don't always hack it compared to pure elbow grease.

The idea

It would be great to have a long sleeved glove with a scraper built in. For one I could brush off the snow and then scrape at the same time without getting wet or cold. Okay I hear you say, well why not buy water proof and a scraper, well how may times are you caught short without even a scraper.

Idea #1: RFID in your mobile... What could you use it for?

Inspiration source

Google's use of those funky new barcodes you keep seeing on the side of pepsi bottles. Google aim to use them for place ids and understand yelp do something similar. Only benefit I can is that it is very low cost.

Idea

Why not use RFID or bluetooth instead, the use of something that is not simple cries out that it won't work. If the user of a mobile with these features has them and switches them on can get the same information as a notification and does not even need to be aware that google, yelp or anyone else has any information on the place, product, etc.

Applications

I'll get back to you on that one, but my first idea is why do I need a oyster card if my mobile (which will be used for everything in the future) can do it for me.
